How I found Focus

Besides the obvious (I was stressed, duh) looking back I believe I was trying to distract myself from whatever’d just happened.

My body needed something so new and challenging to do that it cut off the repetitive negative feedback loop in my mind even for a moment.

I literally needed to ‘turn a situation around’, ‘turn my frown upside down’ and ‘look at things from a new point of view’ (ungracious rats, left their nasty turds at the base of my balancing wall I noticed while doing this).

(Other than that time I found the rat droppings) I’ve always felt much better once I become upright again. Without ever having even worked on the problem that I’d been driven out with.

What was I doing, and how did it work exactly? (Did it work, exactly?)
